Paint Removed!

Paint Removed!
Today I had time to remove most of the painting that was already on the figure!

Since it was acrylic paint, I immersed all the parts into rubbing alcohol and let them sit for a good 10 mins. Then I brushed them off. I used a thick hard sponge as well to scrub the paints off as well as toothpicks to get into the hard-to-reach cracks.

The white areas were the primer I think. So that was a bit more tough to come off.

So now these pieces are ready to be primed! I ordered Testors acrylic white primer and 2 different yellow shades of Testors Model Master Acrylic paints today. They should be arriving sometime early next week! And then I can begin priming these pieces!

Meanwhile, I am going to try to make a rough sculpt of the Yellow Marine’s head using plain old clay.

As for the arm, I think I have to take it apart afterall for painting.
